Speaking & Presentations

History, human behavior, and the conversations people do not always know how to begin.

My programs are built for libraries, community organizations, schools, civic groups, faith communities, book groups, and general audiences.

I write and speak as the son of Holocaust survivors, but my public work has never been limited to telling one family story. The presentations grew from years of trying to make difficult history understandable to people who may not already know it—and to connect history with the choices ordinary people make.

Current flagship conversation

The Destination We Are Choosing

A 90-minute guided community conversation about shared pressure, blame, division, historical warning, and the patterns we still have the ability to strengthen.

Miracles Through Hell

A presentation built around my parents' Holocaust survival story, the choices and people that made survival possible, and what their story left to the generation that came after them.

The History of Jew Hate

A historical presentation designed especially for general and non-Jewish audiences who want to understand how old accusations and patterns have changed form across time.

The History of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict

A historical presentation intended to help general audiences understand the long sequence of events and competing histories behind a conflict often reduced to present-day arguments.

These programs are adapted to the audience and setting without turning them into partisan debates or conventional book talks.
